About Logo

It is only a coincidence that my first name also starts with a J.  My logo is not my initials but the first letter of my two pa-pa's names.   Jack Ault and Ivis Hanshew.

No man in the world has been blessed with two better Grandfathers (and of course behind every good man is a better woman, and that is true in both cases. I also could not have had any two better ma-ma's then Ellen Ault and Mozelle Hanshew). Although they were like night and day, raised in two completely different worlds, they were equally amazing.  While each of them was almost perfect, there were things they could have each learned from each other.   A mix of the two of them is the man I aspire to be.

When I started my business, I did it in their honor.  I used a lower-case j and i for the purpose of using the dots as halo's as they were both already in heaven.   I then added the dash to make the H for my last name.

Although they had so many differences and I did different things with each of them, the one thing they had in common and that I did with each of them was fishing.  I now have changed my logo just slightly, by making the J resemble a fishhook for two reasons: one being for my pa-pa's, the other in honor of THE MAN, Jesus Christ.  Without him, I could do absolutely nothing.  And it was him who once said to go and be fishers of men.  - I believe he liked to work with wood as well ;-)

It may be just a logo on a cue to you.  But when I see it, I see the reason I stand behind the cues I make.  I see my two pa-pa's and I cherish their memories. I see a faith, a code of ethics and honor that sadly is becoming rare these days.  I see two men that while I try to be the best of each.  In reality I know I will never be half of either.   And one man, that no matter what I do, I will never be deserving of his love and the debt he paid for my sins (and for yours) on the cross long ago, so that we do not have to perish, but can have everlasting life.
